The brogue wingtip is a must-have staple that should exist in every mans wardrobe. It's a classic design that has since taken many shapes & styles among mens footwear.
Generally speaking brogue shoes consist of a sturdy leather upper with decorative perforations or "broguing" & serration along the pieces visible edge. Their roots can be traced to a shoe originating in Scotland & Ireland that was constructed using untanned hide with perforations allowing water to drain when crossing wet terrain like bogs. They were originally for outdoor or country footwear but since can be worn in many contexts. The full brogue is also considered a 'Wingtip' which takes a 'W' shape like shown in the boot below.
