HOW TO: Wearing ankle booties

The ankle boot trend is well-loved here at S.O.S, that's no secret. I've had a lot of people coming in and loving the ankle boots they see in store and then asking me "But what would you wear them with?" to which I reply "Everything!" which is true, I do wear mine in a lot of variations...however, here's a more detailed version of my answer.

These booties are from Kenneth Cole's Reaction Collection and at first glance look rather dressy with the cone heel, almond shaped toe & black leather...and though you can absolutely dress them up with a dress pant or skirt, I love them paired with a cuffed denim as shown in the above photo.

For a more laid back boho vibe, we love these western style blue suede booties. The wooden cut-out heel adds a touch of country flair. These boots look great with jeans and would look just as fresh with a pair of leggings & your favourite sweater for Fall!

The Eager Beaver bootie by BC Footwear has quickly become a favourite around here. It's neutral grey suede & tapestry covered heel stands out among the others. It has every colour you could imagine in the adorable tapestry heel, making it easy to pair with just about anything. We love pushing the season by pairing them with a maxi skirt!

Stepping up an outfit with black & gold is never a bad choice. There's something so chic about gold tones against a smooth black leather. These would definitely look fantastic with pantyhose & a LBD or with your favourite power suit. No matter what you're wearing them with, these shoes will leave you feeling fierce, I can promise you that!

These Miz Mooz booties are a real 'Charmer' & are the perfect height for everyday wear. Pair these with dresses, pants, jeans, you name it! Available in black & red & for $150, you'll want them in both colours!

As I said, we LOVE ankle booties & have a variety in store for you to choose from, no matter what style you rock! Come pop by the shop to give them a whirl!
